BRAS =Bras Recycled And Shared
Pat Bailey, along with Kathy Bozeman, and Pat Ezell are starting an outreach program to provide gently used and sanitized bras to women and girls in need. This is a program which emulates a program initiated by Pat Bailey’s life long friend, Ruthie Hiett, from Little Rock, AR who suddenly passed away in January. In the 6 years that Ruthie worked with BRAS, she and her team of volunteers distributed over 12000 bras to 17 organizations in that area which serve women and girls in need. Our community has programs which offer food, lodging, and clothing, but no program dedicated solely to “supporting” women in this way. We need your help in getting bra donations as well as connecting us with organizations which serve women and would benefit from having bras for their women and girls. For now we will meet you in Towns and Union county to collect bras from you and in Lumpkin and White County you can take yours to the CASA office where we can collect them. Hopefully soon we will have collection bins set up for your convenience. We want everyone to be part of this outreach program which could help so many and cost no money at all. Call or text Pat Bailey 404-277-1299 or email email@example.com for questions, to recommend organizations who serve women or regarding meeting times for pick up.
