Life at the Heights

"How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him who brings good news..." - Isaiah 52:7
It is with great joy that we announce the beginning of our monthly Annunciation Heights newsletter, "Life at the Heights." Not only do we want to keep you informed about all that is happening up here at camp.  We also want to give you the information you need to stay involved and engaged with AH!  Keep reading for all you need to know!

Work and Worship Weekend: November 8-10, 2020

Annunciation Heights needs your help! Join AH staff and supporters on a service weekend, to help in the many projects we need to attend to on the property.

Besides having a weekend of fun and service in the Rocky Mountains, you will also get to share in fellowship with others who share this mission! There will be campfires in the evening, with time for prayer and formation as well. Food and lodging are free!

Summer Camp Updates

We had a great first summer of camps, full to the brim with programs for both youth and families.  Check out the photo and video galleries on our webpage!

Additionally, we are announcing our youth camp schedule for Summer 2020.  Registration will go live in the beginning of November!  See below for the full schedule:

Altum Institute Missionaries

At the end of August, Annunciation Heights welcomed ten new missionaries to camp!  Coming from all over the country (including three returning missionaries from last year), they have brought renewed energy to camp life and ministry.  Meet the new missionaries by clicking here!

JPII Outdoor Lab Expansion

With ten new missionaries you met above, we have been able to expand our outdoor education program this fall.  With over 850 students visiting camp this semester, this will be our biggest season yet!

Director's Corner with Kyle Mills

It’s a fascinating experience sitting atop a mountain with 50 kids. There is lots of heavy breathing, some complaining about being tired, hungry and thirsty – but there is also something you don’t normally see, hear or smell down at lower elevations: an abnormal union of smiley, silent, sweaty kids who just accomplished something they wouldn’t have done otherwise. That is what is was like hiking around Estes Park this summer with our first ever summer youth camp at Annunciation Heights. Yogi Berra once quipped, “The future ain’t what it used to be.” Most adults these days would apply the statement to the outlook of this next generation of kids. That’s not what we discovered with the hundreds of kids who came to camp this summer or the hundreds more who are coming this Fall for our JPII Outdoor Lab program. We believe in these kids and are seeing them come alive in God, themselves, others and creation up here at the Heights. Thanks for sending them - please keep ‘em coming!

We are always in need of financial and volunteer support.  Please know that we are always looking to expand the AH family.  Find more ways to get involved at the Heights here.
