Worship from the Bishop
The Office of the Bishop will provide a pre-recorded worship service for the Sunday after Easter to allow pastors, deacons, ministry staff, and volunteers time to rest. RLC will use Bishop Current's sermon and the other parts of the provided service on April 24. At 8:15 and 10:45, those parts of the service will be played at RLC along with communion. The 8:15 service will be streamed as usual. There will be no 5pm service, since the whole worship service is a recorded service.

Along with the Office of the Bishop, RLC extends our gratitude to all who put in extra time or effort to make our Holy Week and Easter services meaningful: musicians, readers, ushers, greeters, acolytes, altar guild, communion assistants, breakfast preparers and servers, stream team, and all who worked to make our space look nice. Thank you!

Do you like to use your gifts in meaningful ways? We need your help to make RLC go. Read the ways to help below, and reply to this email if you’re interested in learning more.

Sunday Morning Volunteer Opportunities:
Are you friendly and welcoming? You could be a greeter, saying hello to worshipers as they come in before worship.

Are you good with technology? You could join the stream team and help with the sound board or livestream during worship.

Are you comfortable speaking in front of people? You could be a reader– Pastor Beth will even help you pronounce the unfamiliar names.

Are you good at giving directions? You could be an usher and help visitors find a seat and let worshipers know when to receive communion.

Do you love little children? You could volunteer to supervise the nursery.

Do you like to set up and clean up behind the scenes? You could be part of the Altar Guild, our team that prepares and cleans up communion and changes the altar paraments.

Do you love offering hospitality? You could sign up to prepare and serve coffee and treats for fellowship time.

Do you want to help as a worship leader? You could be a communion assistant, distributing juice and wine to worshipers.

Reply to this email if you'd like to sign up or learn more-- and if you're not sure, we'll help you learn how to usher, serve communion, make coffee, or whatever you'd like to try.

We are looking for volunteers to help in the nursery at 10:45 worship. We need two people and one of them needs to be over 16. Please sign up at if you would like to help. If you have any questions please contact Grace.

We are doing a fund-raising campaign to replace the projector in the sanctuary. This project will get the wires off of the floor, and “clean up” the organ side of the space to allow for more flexibility with communion and musical groups.
The project is expected to cost around $2,500, and we have already received some pledges toward raising these funds. If you would like to help, just put “projector” on the memo line of your check, envelope, or Tithely contribution.
