Do you need some space to simply be, tonight?

Our monthly “Chicken Soup for the Soul” reflective evenings offer a mixture of ancient and contemporary wisdom and practice, together with ten minutes of silence.

Tonight, we won’t be gathering in person, but you can join in with our half hour virtual campfire from the warmth of home by watching along with this YouTube video. Do share it with others who might enjoy it. We hope to be back in person, probably around a campfire, on the first Wednesday in Feb!

Exploring Retreats and Quiet Days

Launde Abbey are running a Beginners Retreat during the February half term, which some of us are considering attending:

“The aim of this semi-silent retreat weekend is to help you enter the world of silent retreats gently and with plenty of support. There will be guidance on how to use the time; periods on your own and with the other retreatants, and the opportunity to share your experience with others if you wish to do so. During your stay at Launde you can join in with the community’s rhythm of prayer and worship; walk, paint, potter or simply rest, as the spirit takes you.”

We’re also hoping to arrange to visit a monastery and simply join in with their rhythm of prayer and worship at some point - this would be a cheaper option

Coming Up: Sunday Gatherings

We continue to review the situation in light of Covid. As things stand, we plan to be in the school hall for our regular Sunday Afternoon Gatherings, with lots of ventilation and masks for anyone not exempt. Please do a LFT before joining us.

This Sunday, we will not be serving refreshments: but feel free to bring along a keep-hot mug or water bottle.

New Term, new prayer adventure?

If you’ve been using the Lectio 365 Prayer App during the Autumn Term, we’d love to hear your feedback. Or perhaps there is another daily prayer resource you’d like to recommend for us to try out this term? Church Council meet on Monday night, and we’d love to hear your feedback.

Dreaming of the August Bank Holiday?

Last year, we had an AMAZING time camping out in Willingham at our Stowe-Aways mini festival celebrating Community, Creativity, and Spirituality. This year, some of us have weekend tickets to the brilliant Greenbelt Festival, which has all of that and more! We’d love to pitch up together! Or you might simply like to book a day-ticket and meet us there. (There will be no Sunday service in Northstowe that Sunday)
