On behalf of all Hygiene teachers and staff, we're thankful for our Hygiene community and hope everyone has a safe and restful break. We look forward to seeing you again on Monday, November 26th!
This Week's Updates:
Kindness for Kids
It's snowing kindness in the front office! If you are interested in getting a snowflake (with a gift tag identifying a child's gender and age) and purchasing a suggested gift ($30 limit) for the holidays, please stop by the office to get the gift tag! Thanksgiving Break Reading Challenge
Hygiene Elementary School can't wait to defend our title! We are participating in the myOn Reading Challenge from November 16-26. First place earns $2500 for the school to enhance our reading programs! Please visit http://stvra.in/myon or see the materials in your student's Friday Folder for more details!
All K-2 students who read 250 minutes and all 3rd-5th graders who read 350 minutes will get 30 minutes in the computer lab for coding fun!
The top twenty student readers will have a hot cocoa and story party in the library.
The top reader will get to have lunch with Mrs. Collier!
AND...if our school wins first place we will have an all school celebration! Note for 100 Mile Club Students
We will continue to meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings through the end of December. Once January comes, we will go down to one day a week to get through the cold weather. Stay tuned for more info.
Remember to check here for running events outside of our normal practice times. Pay special attention to December 8th. Hygiene and Longmont Estates team up to hold a FREE Jingle Bell Run at McIntosh Lake. Jingle bells, candy canes and Santa are just a few fun things about this community event.
As always, thank you to all the adults who get your child here, walk with us, run with us and scan with us! I am grateful for you all. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Mrs. Newell Kindergarten Registration
