Dear Parents and Guardians:
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. As we enter the holiday season, I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to everyone who makes it possible for our Hygiene students to come to school and ready to learn every day. Parents, I also want to thank you for supporting all of the MyOn reading over break.
Do you have or know a preschooler student ready for kindergarten next year? Do you have a friend hoping to open enroll a student at Hygiene? Please help us spread the word that kindergarten registration for the 2019-2020 school year is right around the corner. The application window is open December 3-17. Preschool registration begins on January 2nd. Please see our website for more information and materials.
First trimester has been extremely successful at Hygiene. Report cards are currently available on Infinite Campus. I encourage you to contact the front office with any questions or difficulty logging on. The report cards align with the rigorous state standards and common core. In addition, it provides information about student progress towards mastering standards. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher with questions.
December is filled with fun activities! We will have a Jingle Bell Run for the Hygiene Community December 8th at 9:30 am. This will be held at Lake McIntosh. Please bundle up and join us for a winter run. Please also mark your calendars for December 11! This is our Arts Night for grades PreK-2. The flyer is attached in this newsletter with more information on times. In the spring, we will have Arts Night for grades 3-5.
Calling all parent volunteers! We are planning and creating our Hawk Air Egypt. Parents, are you interested in building and creating Egypt? We need your help as this is our capstone school wide project that is truly an out of this world experience for our students. If you are interested in helping support your class, please reach out to your child’s teacher or Ms. Legrand so we can include everyone. Our next planning meeting is December 11 at 8:00 am. Your involvement can be as little or as much as you like, including creating things at home. We appreciate the support and can only make this happen with the help of all of you!
As we start our winter holiday season, I want to wish everyone a safe, warm and memorable winter holiday. Whether you are traveling or staying here for the holidays, I hope all of you can enjoy some time together with family and friends. I am so grateful and honored to serve as your principal. Happy Holidays!
