He Is Risen! Jesus Is Alive!

Often people say and think that Christmas is the most important feast of the Church, and it may be so for personal liking, but the significance of Easter is much greater than the significance of Christmas. Revelation of Christ’s humanity in Christmas is beautiful, very comforting and consoling to have: Emmanuel, that is - God with us. But revelation of the Resurrection is much greater, it shows us Christ’s divinity and his power over life and especially death - our greatest enemy. Easter is the revelation of Christ’s dominion over life and death - and it brings the greatest gift to us: the gift of salvation; the gift of eternal life.

The Resurrection of Christ becomes a promise to us, that we can be with God in eternal life, if only we deposit our trust in Jesus. By defeating death, Jesus brings the greatest victory into the perspective of everyone’s life. He turns the greatest sadness of human life, into the promise of everlasting life forever in the kingdom of heaven.

Happy Resurrection Sunday, Ebenezer! We look forward to 'seeing' you for service this morning at 11am as we celebrate the Risen King!

God Bless,
Pastor Darryl & Dr. Pamela Person
