For the third year in a row, the staff of Warren Public Library are excited to present to you our Favorite Reads of 2022. Our rules for selection are simple: Staff may pick a book from any genre, available in any format, and published in any year as long as they’re available at Warren Public Library or on Libby. There’s something for everyone on this list and we hope you find something worth checking out!

• Toddler Time: Mondays at 10:30 am in the Children's Department. Ages 1-5. Join Ms. Susan for  stories, songs, crafts and creative play. Final dates for 2022: December 5 and December 12.
• Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa and Mrs. Claus: Saturday, December 3 from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Registration is full for this program. Join us for a jolly time as Santa and Mrs. Claus share holiday stories and songs. Afterwards children can visit with Santa while others color holiday crafts. Preregistration required.
• Mrs. Claus Visits Toddler Time: Monday, December 12 at 10:30 am. No registration required! This will be the last Toddler Time this year. Toddler Time will resume in late January 2023.
• After School with Mrs. Claus: Monday, December 12 at 4:30 pm in the Children’s Department. Registration is full for this program. Mrs. Claus loves books and children so she enjoys visiting Warren to share holiday stories, songs, and crafts. Preregistration required.
• Holiday Scavenger Hunt: Children ages three to eleven (3-11) are invited to complete a holiday themed scavenger hunt in the Children’s Department. Scavenger Hunt forms can be found on the staff desk in the Children’s Department. Forms are due into the Children’s Room by December 13. Participant names will be placed in a random drawing. The grand prize is a huge Grinch Gift Basket and there will also be six runner-up holiday prizes.
• Read Your Way Through the Alphabet Challenge: Children ages 2-11 are encouraged to read 26 books to earn a reading medal and have their name entered into a drawing for a $25 Walmart gift card. Participants have until December 13 to submit their forms. Click here for more information.

Teens grades 6 through 12 are invited to check out the new Teen Book Club! This will be a traditional book club where we all read the same book and discuss it together over snacks in the new Teen Space. All you need is a library card and we take of the rest.

Reading Challenge for Adults

Read books that match the resolution descriptions on the entry sheet for a small prize and a chance to win New Year-New You gift basket. Sheets are available to pick up beginning December 1 at Warren Public Library! Resolution sheets must be turned in before 5:00 pm on January 28.
