FOMAHI News
Our next FOMAHI meeting is January 17th at 7pm in the Hamilton Library. Come hear updates from music directors, learn about winter/spring trips, and get involved in bake sales – and Music-a-thon!
Music-a-thon is February 9th!
It’s time for our annual celebration of music. Our students will perform music throughout the school day, capping it off with a special Young Musician Showcase from 7pm – 9pm. All Hamilton families are invited to attend the evening event! Families of music students should be on the lookout for fundraising envelopes. We will need parent volunteers to help both during the day and evening performances. Email fomahihelp@gmail.com to sign up!
About FOMAHI

Learn More About Mental Health for Teens
This year Hamilton has been partnering with Crisis Connections to provide suicide prevention/mental health awareness presentations to all of our students. In conjunction with this school-wide educational initiative, we are inviting the Hamilton community to attend NAMI's (National Alliance on Mental Illness) presentation Ending the Silence, a 1-hour virtual presentation for adults with middle or high school aged youth. Topics covered will include:
- Common warning signs
- Facts and statistics
- How to talk to your child and work with school staff
We encourage parents to inform themselves about how to talk to teens about stress and suicide, as well as have regular conversations with their youth about mental health and stress management. We hope you will join us for this important event.
Date/Time: Thursday, January 19th 6:30pm-7:30pm
