World-renowned artist Desmond Freeman brings impressions of Venice and Paris to The SHAC
The SHAC ~ Southern Highlands Artisans Collective ~ is hosting an exhibition of painting and drawings by the highly acclaimed Bowral artist and designer Desmond Freeman – a selection of his Venice and Paris series Impressions in Ink.

The exhibition will be opened by legendary actress and comedienne Noeline Brown on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2pm. There is no charge for the event, however numbers are limited. To book to attend the opening party go to https://www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=541396&

 


The exhibition will be open 7 days a week, from Friday September 13, closing on Wednesday October 2, 2019. Opening hours are 10am – 4pm. The SHAC Gallery is located at 74 – 76 Hoddle Street, Robertson, NSW (next to The Big Potato). enquiries@theshac.com.au

The Battle Over Citizen Kane (1996, USA), a documentary film by Michael Epstein and Thomas Lennon, on Sunday 15 September at 2.30pm at CTC@Robertson

This documentary chronicles the struggles between filmmaker Orson Welles and newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst over the making and release of Citizen Kane (1941), whose protagonist (Charles Foster Kane) was allegedly a barely fictionalized Hearst.

Blamey Street Big Band High Tea
Sunday, 20 October 2019 2:00 pm 5:00 pm at Robertson School of Arts

This event combines two of the Southern Highlands greatest assets - live jazz music and food! Gather your family and friends and join The Blamey Street Big Band from Canberra in a delightful high-tea. Sip on some bubbles and munch on sweets - This afternoon of jazz promises to delight for all the senses. Swing Dancers Welcome! The Blamey Street Big Band is one of Canberra's premier big bands and specialises in music from the big band era.

Rugby and Beer Lunch on 21 September at Robertson Public House
Presented by Malt and Shovel, the home of James Squire, we will take you on a beer tasting journey as you tuck into a meat inspired three course menu with matching beers and local Southern Highlands wine from 12.00 – 2.30pm. The event will be MC’d by Jeremy Wilshire with a panel  of former wallabies including Tony Daly and Mark Hartill and will be followed by live World Cup matches on the big screen from 2.45pm starting with Australia vs Fiji.
