Year 6 transition data - please read
SixintoSeven data transfer platform launches this week
We are pleased to announce that the Hounslow Education Partnership transition portal launch this week for schools to register and start using.
HEP are funding schools in our borough to use the cloud-based portal SixIntoSeven Plus to support the secure transfer of Year 6 pupil information to destination secondaries.
The goal for the project is to ensure that Secondary schools receive a complete set of pupil information from their feeder Primaries, presented in a simple, consistent way. Having access to this information ahead of the summer break will allow Secondaries to prepare for their intake and identify any focus areas for the new term.
For all schools, the portal is a simple way to manage transition data in one place instead of numerous spreadsheets. Working in this way ensures that the data schools hold for Year 6 pupils is recorded and passed on to Secondaries securely, helping support a smooth transition.
HEP will contact all Secondary members this week to activate their accounts - once this is completed then each Secondary will invite feeder Primaries both in and out of borough to connect.
As per last year, the deadline for final data submission from Primary to Secondary is no later than 24th June 2021.
Once launched we will offer all schools to join an online user webinar as well as supporting the platform with 'how to' resources and a live chat function within the platform.
Finally, please find below a copy of the Data Protection Impact Assessment for the project.
Please see links below for the Pan London Child Exploitation Protocol which was launched on the 18th March 2021 by the Met Police. The Protocol replaces the Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) Protocol and extends the remit to cover all forms of exploitation.
Also attached is a presentation introducing the Protocol and highlighting the key changes. Please share the information with your relevant staff so it’s clearly understood.
