WOW what a wonderful Sunday we had with Pastor Stuart & Gloria. The Meet & Greet was awesome and I know they got to meet a lot of you last weekend. So here is a recap from Pastor Stuart about him and his family.
My wife Gloria and I have been wonderfully married for 25 years and we are blessed with four children starting with our daughter Erica who is working on her Masters at UCF. Our son Derek is working for a non profit in the IT department and going to school part time. Kade and Dane are full time students with Dane set to graduate for High School this year. Both will be attending college in our new home in Titusville this fall.
We have one dog named Anikan who is a pure bred mutt that my wife picked out from the Humane Society.
All of our children were and are very active in our church while growing up and they have many positive memories of mission trips and volunteering. We all enjoy the outdoors in any season and location. Gloria and I especially love the mountains and on our recent anniversary celebration we had a wonderful time cross country skiing in Montana. All of our children ski as well and we are certified Scuba Divers. We love to travel and look forward each year to a new adventure.
I was born and raised in the land of shovel and swat which is also known as Minnesota. My home town Duluth is famous for it's long cold winters where shoveling snow is a common event and during the short summer season swatting mosquitoes is even a more common event. I have five other brothers who are split between Minnesota and Florida. Both my parents have passed and we lost our mother last year. She was 93 and had a wonderful life.
I have been in ministry for 15 years and have led Miami Lakes UMC for 12 of those years. I was called to ministry later in life and am incredibly blessed to be serving God and our community. I love what I do and I am passionate about bringing others to Christ and sharing God's word. Prior to being in ministry I led a company that had offices in Minneapolis and Miami. We were very fortunate to work with some of the best companies in the country like Johnson and Johnson.
I love to work with my hands and if my wife lets me I'm bringing with us the bear I carved with a chainsaw that sits in our front yard. I have a passion for music and continue to write songs. Prior to the pandemic I enjoyed playing basketball with my sons and anyone else that was willing to play with or against a pastor who doesn't mind a lot of physical contact on the court..
Gloria has been working along side of me all these years and she is an especially gifted servant, a wonderful mother, and awesome cook. She loves the outdoors and especially taking walks on the beach. There is nothing she enjoys more than a sunrise or sunset while looking for shells on the beach. She loves hiking in the mountains and being in quiet places to reflect on her love of nature, family and God. I am very blessed to have found her and share our lives together.

Special 90th Birthday!!! Jean Heckelmoser's 90th birthday is on July 23.
Amy Heckelmoser Taylor (daughter) her brother David Heckelmoser & sister Sandy are trying to conduct a “card shower” contacting as many friend's and acquaintances over her lifetime to try to shower her with cards for her birthday! Hoping to maybe reach 90 cards as a surprise to her.
I was hoping that you could share this with the women/group that she has counted money with at the church office over the years. We don’t have any contact info for people as we all live out of town. We would appreciate any cards and greetings you could send from the church.
Her address is 2730 Hickory Hill Court, Titusville FL 32780. However, if you would be so kind as to recognize her at this Sunday’s service we would be overjoyed! ( she may not be. 😊). Thank you for your kindness!
Amy, David and Sandy Heckelmoser.
WHY DO WE PRAY? Knowing that when and where we go for the reason that Jesus sends us assures us of always being in
His presence. THIS is why we pray. "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your
Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." (Matthew 6:6)
WHY DO WE GIVE? Because God is working to shape our heart to be just like his! Our time, talents, treasures and
things make our Campus, Congregation and Community a better and brighter place to live, give and grow is the way
God is calling you and me to live out each day! THIS…is why we give!
