In this month’s newsletter: Birds, bowls, Bob Ross, and some of my favorite things
Read this Audubon Society article on How to Welcome Winter Birds.

I've been dropping this Cornbread Apple Sausage & Pecan Dressing recipe on guests since 1996... it's that good.

My favorite things this month:

It's no happy little accident that everyone loves Bob Ross

John Waters bequeathed his art collection to The Baltimore Museum of Art and asked that the bathrooms be named in his honor. Did you know that Noodle (of Bean & Noodle) was named after a character in Pink Flamingoes? Well hon, now ya' do.

Speaking of Baltimore, have you ever had a Berger Cookie? I always grab some (and Utz Crab Chips) at BWI when headed back to Austin. I'm keen on trying this recipe from King Arthur's Flour.

It's the time of year for Empty Bowl Project fundraisers to pop up everywhere. If you don't have one in your neck of the woods... why not consider hosting one

Are you planning to host a virtual Thanksgiving this year?

The fact that we live in a world where a Steve Nicks tribute band exists makes me so happy. Rock on Gold Dust Woman!

Things to do in November...
  • There is still time to have your kitchen knives professionally sharpened before the onslaught of holiday cooking.
  • Donate a hand-knit or crochet blanket to someone in need. Find your local chapter of Project Linus to donate.
  • If possible... shop local handmade gifts, your local independent bookstore, or Etsy
