The Joint Global Statement Group on Climate Crisis has launched a new website. It fulfils the promise to participants of the Webinars co-hosted in November 2020 by the professional bodies who are signatories of the Joint Global Statement. It will become a single place for people to go to inform themselves about the statement, see what people talked about during the webinars and what people recommend for ongoing reading and resources. Visiting this website, is a way to consider how you might bring the Climate and Eco-diversity Crises into coaching conversations, appropriately to your contracts, without unduly directing the agenda. The website has been built as a connected knowledge base, a starting point, so it can grow to offer a strong set of resources with which people can engage. The JGSG is meeting again this month and we will keep you abreast of what emerges.

COACH SUPERVISION TENDER IN THE UK
We have been approached by the University of Central Lancashire:
‘We are tendering now for a pool of 5 Coaching Supervisors to support our internal group of Student Coaches at our University, initially for a one year contract with a possible extension to three years. Some supervision can be provided online, some will be f2f held on campus.’
The supervisors must hold a current coaching supervision qualification and maintain their own supervision. Mental health features in much of the work being supervised so expertise in that area is useful.
Deadline for submissions is October 4th, 2021, to commence soon after. All instructions are within the portal on this platform. Click ‘view opportunities’ to the left of that registration box to view without registering. More details about the tender are posted on the AoCS Supervision Opportunities page.
Don’t forget our own podcast series by Clare Norman and Steve Ridgley and guests, is being enjoyed by coaching supervisors everywhere, on demand, in their own timezone! Lifting the Lid is up to Episode 49, and features Simon Cavicchia talking about Shame.
The nextCo-Supervision Spacesession with Michelle Lucas and Yvette Elcock is on 1st October 2021 from 13.00-15.00 GMT/UK time. This session will concentrate on Thinking Environment. Come and take the opportunity to practice existing or new approaches to coaching supervision in a great learning community. Click here for free tickets for members.
The next two dates remaining for 2021 are:
5th November, 13:00 - 15:00 GMT/UK
3rd December, 13:00 - 15:00 GMT/UK

AOCS Regional & Country Coordinators Creative Collaboration
Would you like to connect with other coordinators?
We are proposing an online session (1.5 hrs) for all regional/country coordinators (and perhaps those who may be interested in becoming one?) to connect, explore and share our collective wisdom and best practice experiences on how we can promote and support supervision and related learning and development in our respective geographies.
Paula Wilson, country coordinator for NI and Ireland will facilitate the session on Friday 24th September @ 11am- 12.30pm BST. Our list of country coordinators is growing.. and we are happy for it to grow further and flourish in new areas of the globe.
