Box Tops News
All Box Tops turned in between now and May 24th will count toward the 6th six weeks contest. We will need everyone's help to meet our goal of 10,000 (or $1000 worth of) Box Tops for this school year, so please keep collecting!

Reminders for collecting:
*Please do not use staples. Use glue or tape to attach Box Tops to collection pages.
*Check expiration date because expired Box Tops do not count
*Please trim into neat rectangles if possible, but be careful clipping so that you don't cut the expiration date or the BOLD letters in the upper left hand corner of the Box Top.
*You can put up to 50 Box Tops in one zip lock bag (label with student name/grade/teacher/# of Box Tops) or use the sheets provided to collect 25 per page
*Make SURE your student info (name/grade/teacher) is on the sheet or written on (or on a note inside) the ziplock bag if they wish to be considered for prizes!

Feel free to email
Laura.Farnell@gmail.com or sarahchaplinwalters@hotmail.com with questions or concerns about the Ditto PTA Box Tops program.

In math, some skills we are reviewing include word problems (multi-step), graphs, fractions, and perimeter/area. We so appreciate your help to make sure our students feel confident in their learning!

Just a reminder about the 4th Grade Awards Ceremony, so you can make arrangements to join us in this event in appreciation of what your children have accomplished.  Our ceremony begins shortly after announcements on Tuesday, May 28.

Additionally, in math and reading, we are in the process of reviewing concepts learned this year to prepare for our end-of-year testing.  It has been fantastic to see what these young minds can do!

Finally, we would love to have more Kleenexes to carry us to the end of the year if you can help us out.

Hello from the 6th grade team!

We are excited about entering this last home stretch of the school year, and we have a lot going on! Check your email for a list of all of our end-of-year events dates that was sent out by Mrs. Farmer a couple of weeks ago.

The Cluster Track Meet was a great success! Thank you for coming out to show your support. We look forward to our field trip, and visit to Young Jr. High coming up later this month.

** Correction **  STAAR tests are coming up on May 13th and 14th, just so you remember those dates specifically. Last week I sent the wrong dates, off by one day. We are ready to do amazing as a grade level!

Please continue to monitor behavior sheets nightly (only signing over the weekend), especially during this hectic time of the year. Students chewing gum has become a recent and widespread problem. Gum is not allowed, and will earn students a behavior sign immediately. Thank you for your help with this, we appreciate all of your support!

PARENTS WITH A KINSA THERMOMETER --- are you using your thermometer?  Remember, it gives out reports for all Ditto parents that have one to see.          t
