Ditto Families,

Thanks for your support at Chick Fil-A Spirit night last week!  It was fun to see so many Ditto families there.  We are trying to get Field Day in this Thursday or Friday but crossing our fingers that we will have a dry day.  More information to come via email or text for Kindergarten, Fifth, and Sixth grades who had to reschedule.  We have looked at the calendar and found a few backup times if it's raining.  We know having inside Field Days is not the same!  More to come as the days approach.

As we finish the last six weeks, we want to remind parents how important student attendance is for the academic program at Ditto.  Teachers count on students to be there daily to learn the activities which are planned.  Even picking up students early results in students missing out in the meaningful activities teachers have designed.  Unless students are sick with a fever or stomach bug, we encourage all students to be at school each day ready to learn.  Thank you for your support!

Respectfully,
Karie Kuster
Principal

Box Tops News
Congratulations to the winners of the 5th six weeks Box Tops collection contest: K-tie Nate H., Erica C., and Ella K. (25 Box Tops), 1st-Will F (56), 2nd-Leen O (23), 3rd-Presley W (55), 4th-Riley S (47), 5th-Joslyn P (60), 6th-Ashlynn L (31). We plan to announce these student winners during the week of April 22 on the Ditto morning announcements and also award prizes to everyone who collected at least 25 Box Tops during the 4th six weeks.

Also, congratulations to 5th grade for collecting the most Box Tops (217) during the 5th six weeks. During the past grading period, about 575 Box tops were collected for a total of $57.50, which brings our yearly total to about 6375 Box Tops worth about $637.50 for our school. Be on the lookout for the next collection page to go home with your student soon. All Box Tops turned in between now and May 24th will count toward the 6th six weeks contest. We will need everyone's help to meet our goal of 10,000 (or $1000 worth of) Box Tops for this school year, so please keep collecting!

Reminders for collecting:
*Please do not use staples. Use glue or tape to attach Box Tops to collection pages.
*Check expiration date because expired Box Tops do not count
*Please trim into neat rectangles if possible, but be careful clipping so that you don't cut the expiration date or the BOLD letters in the upper left hand corner of the Box Top.
*You can put up to 50 Box Tops in one zip lock bag (label with student name/grade/teacher/# of Box Tops) or use the sheets provided to collect 25 per page
*Make SURE your student info (name/grade/teacher) is on the sheet or written on (or on a note inside) the ziplock bag if they wish to be considered for prizes!

Feel free to email
Laura.Farnell@gmail.com or sarahchaplinwalters@hotmail.com with questions or concerns about the Ditto PTA Box Tops program.
