Due to COVID concerns, Zion’s children’s Christmas service will have a different format this year to accommodate social distancing in our sanctuary.
The children will be divided into two groups alphabetically by last name. Children with last names A-J will take part in both the 8:00am and 10:30am services on Dec. 27th. Children with last names K-Z will take part in both the 8:00am and 10:30am services on January 3rd.
By dividing the children into two groups and asking them to participate on their appointed Sunday, we will be better able to keep family groups together and promote social distancing. While the children will participate in both services, their families will be asked to choose one of the two services to attend that morning.
Practices will take place during the school day at Immanuel during the last two weeks of school prior to Christmas. In addition, students with last names A-J will practice at Zion at 8:00am on Saturday, December 19th. Students with last names K-Z will practice at 9:00am on Saturday, December 19th.
If your family needs to be out of town on the weekend that your child has been assigned, please speak to me by Nov. 8th so that we can move them to the opposite weekend’s service and have time to make the necessary adjustments.
Thanks for your support of our children’s services. Christmas may look a little different this year due to the pandemic. But, thanks be to God, we will still gather to celebrate the birth of the One who came to renew and restore His creation!
P.S. Parents, please call or text me to confirm your child's participation on their assigned date or to arrange for them to participate on the other date.
