Our Workshop List is Shaping Up - But We Need Your Help!

Thank you to everyone who has already offered their time and talents by volunteering to be a workshop leader (WSL) for Discoveree 2022.  We are still looking for workshop leaders in ALL areas but we are specifically interested in the following:
  • Outdoor Cooking (any type)
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math)
  • Songs and Song Leading
  • Workshops for New Leaders
  • More Crafts (we only have 8!)
And remember - If you are a workshop leader, you get priority parking, we buy you lunch, and you get to attend the rest of Discoveree 2022 for free!

The deadline to submit the form is Friday, September 17th so don't delay.

In Other Discoveree News...

We plan to be back at Itliong-Vera Cruz Middle School in Union City for 2022.  But we are also closely watching the progression of the Delta variant and guidelines from the State and from our Council.  Rest assured we will be taking steps to ensure we have the safest event possible.

Leader Feature: GSUSA Badge Explorer

Every month we will have ideas, tips, and resources for you to use during troop meetings or as part of your Girl Scout year.

Did you know that GSUSA has a Badge Explorer to help you and your troop figure out what their next badge project will be?  You can find it on the GSUSA website.

Just .... 1) Pick your GS Level(s):

2) Pick the Subject Area(s):

3) Pick the badges that look interesting (or pick them all).

Then the Badge Explorer will generate a PDF document with information about all the badges that you selected.  You end up with your own custom list of badge information!

Just looking for a list of all the badges available for a particular Girl Scout Level?  Including the new badges released just this summer? Then you'll want these links:

Workshop Feature: Get Your Craft On!

Every month we feature some aspect of our Discoveree Workshops.

It's time to get your craft on.  Not a crafter?  Discoveree has you covered!  Avid crafter?  We probably have something new you can try!

While this year's slate of workshops is still under development, we already have a number of workshop leaders planning to teach crafts.  Crafts are always well represented at Discoveree.  This year you might get to try your hand at:

            -  Garden Gnomes
            -  Glass Etching
            -  Fairytale Crafts
            -  Ribbon Leis
            -  Guided Painting or
            -  Mosaic Garden Art

Just to name a few.  We are also looking for more crafting workshops. Have another craft to contribute?  Consider becoming a workshop leader and share your knowledge with other volunteers.
