News Digest

Some carriers are wondering if the STIR/SHAKEN mandate applies to them. The TRACED Act mandates call authentication in both IP and non-IP networks.

Meanwhile, the NTCA just told the FCC that upstream carriers aren’t making IP interconnects available to rural carriers. How will that play out, given the broad mandate in the TRACED Act?

The legislation also calls for action against one-ring call scams, a.k.a., Wangiri. How will that work?
