Message from the CEO

Dear Port Canaveral Family,

Port Canaveral remains ready and committed to providing the resources necessary for the resumption of cruises. Our cruise partners are working through a phased return to service based on framework contained in the Conditional Sail Order issued by the CDC.

On November 12, I delivered the 2020 State of the Port presentation to our Commissioners, stakeholders, and to the community. This year, the address was held virtually, with a small socially-distanced audience in the Commission meeting room. Watch the entire event here.

This holiday season, it’s more important than ever to reach out, spread joy, and stay connected with friends and family. Take a moment to pause and remember the things you are thankful for. Wishing all of you a healthy and joyous holiday season, from our family to yours.

Sincerely,

Captain John W. Murray
Port Director and CEO

Message from the Commissioners

Newly-elected Port Commissioner Kevin Markey was sworn in to office at the December 9th Canaveral Port Authority Board of Commissioners meeting. He will be filling the District 4 seat that was previously held by Commissioner Bob Harvey, who did not seek re-election this term.

Commissioner Markey is a real estate and business law attorney from Merritt Island. Commissioner Markey was sworn in alongside Commissioner Micah Loyd, who was re-elected in November. We wish Bob Harvey fair winds and following seas in his next endeavor and welcome Commissioner Markey to Port Canaveral!

The next Canaveral Port Authority commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 27th at 9:00 AM. The Commission meeting will be held at the Maritime Center with modifications to keep participants and visitors socially-distanced. The meeting will also be available for live stream viewing on the Port Canaveral website or on the Port Canaveral Facebook page.
