Class of the month: Sweat

As of June 1 (tomorrow!), we're revamping and renaming our classes across our Robinson and Telok Ayer studios to better reflect the soul of each one. Check them out and tell us what you think! This week, we get a taste of Sweat. 
If it were to go by any other name, you'd know it as HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training. Sweat is all about maximum input for maximum gains through the power of movement. And as the name suggests, you might want to bring a fresh change of clothes.

LEVEL x Club Med: Join us in the jungle

Next month, two of our beloved Level instructors, Dimitri and Adelene, are headed to Malaysia to take part in the inaugural "Adventure Into the Wild" event at Club Med Cherating Beach from 13 July to 2 August.

Take part in Dimitri's "Beach Bootcamp" (13-20 August) – an hour-long programme that will have you running, jumping, and lifting by the sea. 

Or "Dance in the Jungle" with Adelene (27 July - 2 August) in the great outdoors – an-hour long movement workshop where you'll get in touch with your primal side, learning to move your body through the jungle in a unique way.

We're ramping up our routines in prep for the next Spartan Race in Bukit Timah on August 3.

Our next Level Spartan army training regimen kicks off on June 1 and obviously, we're going for gold.

Client Spotlight: Tobias Wilson
This month, we meet Tobias Wilson who had clear goals in mind when he started training with our founder and lead coach, Alex Salihin. Read his story on how he thrived through a combination of personal training and our new small group programme (more details coming soon).

Tobias Wilson – "At the start of 2019, I approached Alex with an aim to get stronger and lose weight... 9kg to be exact. I weighed in at 99kgs at the start, unable to do a single pull-up, nor 10 push-ups. On top of that, I'd had surgery on my neck in 2018, so I needed somewhere/someone who would take that into account and tailor something around my recovery.

Needless to say, Alex definitely had his work cut out for him, but we maximised results by tackling both my diet and workouts at the same time.

Now I'm at 90kgs, I've just passed a Level 3 fitness test (crushing exercises that I used to consider pure torture), and I feel 10 years younger and 1000 times stronger. 

The small group program in particular had a big impact on my experience as it helped me understand more about the exercises, as well as let me track previous results via an app. Plus it's super affordable, which encouraged me to train more.

Alex and the team are awesome, personable and actually care about what you want to achieve. If you have a fitness goal, there's no other place I'd go."

Level x Uppercut: HIIT and Hit
Last week, your favourite gym and boxing studio teamed up to create a workout experience like none other.

We began with an intensive Level HIIT session outdoors, before throwing a jab and a hook on Uppercut's notorious aquabags. It was a one-hour full-body workout that tested everyone's physical and mental stamina, got their hearts racing, and put a smile on their face. 

We think this collab is the start of something beautiful. We've got more combo class ideas up our sleeves, and can't wait to announce the next one!
