What's on this week

Lots on offer in this really important part of the Christian year...
Holy Communion, Sunday, 9am
Our reader Andrew Reid will be preaching this week, as we reflect on our journey through Lent and Easter, and prepare for the feast of Pentecost next Sunday.
Sunday Sermon, Sun morn.
If you're unable to catch the Communion service (or if the tech totally lets us down) a short video of Sunday's Gospel, Sermon, and intercessions will be avaiable.
Children's Service, Sunday morn.
This week we hear the story of Jesus saying farewell to His disciples and ascending into heaven.  We'll also keep getting ready for Pentecost next week!
Evening Prayer, various times
Never tried this before?  We'd love you to join us as we prepare for Pentecost (details below).
Sunday: 3pm
Tuesday-Saturday: 5.30pm
Reflections
Fr Peter will share a reflection on Tuesday and Thursday this week, as always reflecting upon the readings for the day and what's going on in the news.
The services can be found as always by clicking on the button below.

Join together in praying for the world

Between Ascension and Pentecost, Christians throughout the world are invited to pray for more people to come to the love of Christ, as part of the global movement ‘Thy Kingdom Come.’

We would love as many people as possible to join together in doing this - because if we're all praying, wonderful things can happen.

We have therefore produced a prayer booklet, which you can use either on your own, or by joining in with our live services of Evening Prayer on Facebook.  It just takes about 15 minutes to say (depending on the length of the readings), and is a really meditative way of praying.

Please do seriously consider joining in with this very special ministry to our local community and our world.

Support North Enfield Food Bank (Tomorrow)

We would like to bless our community this week by making a food delivery to North Enfield Food Bank of supplies donated by all of us.

If you are able, please bring any donations of food and toiletries to the back gate of the vicarage (along Cedar Park Road), which will be left open for safely distanced drop-offs, between 9am and 12noon on Saturday 23rd May.  Peter and Caroline will then take it all down to the food bank.

Zoom socials

Lots of people really enjoyed the chance to meet up online and spend some time in one another's company this last week.

We shall therefore hold two socials again this coming week:
Wednesday from 3-4pm
Wednesday from 6-7pm

As with last week, we shall hold these socials on Zoom, an online platform that alolows people to see and chat to one another.  (It is also possible to join via phone - although you won't be able to see everyone!)

If you would like to join either, please let Peter know in advance, preferably by email.  He will then send you instructions for joining in.

Plants for sale in aid of the church

There are still plants available for you to fill your gardens with!

If you would like to find out what beautiful things are available, please contact Marion Berry at marionhw@hotmail.co.uk or on 020 8366 8053.
And finally, please don't hesitate to contact Fr Peter if you need anything at all - be it prayer, practical help, or just a chat,
either on 020 8363 6055 / revpetergodden@outlook.com
