Queen's Platinum Jubilee Garden Party
Many thanks to the events team for a really successful Jubilee Garden party, well attended with a lot of positive feed-back. The 'Afternoon Teas' were truly enjoyed by all with comments like 'the coronation chicken sandwiches were exceptional' (all freshly made that day) and the home-made cake/cakes superb. We certainly had the best weather of the weekend.
Martyn Stogden and his English Jazz Orchestra entertained us all wonderfully as we sat in the grounds in the sunshine, it was a genuine pleasure to enjoy such a traditional British event.
House group
The next House Group will be on Tuesday 12 July at 7.30pm in the Lady Chapel at St Luke’s. House group runs on the second Tuesday of the month. All welcome.
Flower show
This will take place the weekend of St John’s Patronal Saturday 25 June 10.30am-4.30pm and Sunday 26 June 11.00am-5.00pm. Volunteers are required – see Marion Berry.
