For Last Express fans
I've found some gems in the Smoking Car archives, which I'll be posting to the Library page over the next few months. First up is a Newsweek article by Tomi Pierce, my Last Express co-writer. (Tomi's creative mind and spirit had a huge impact on Prince of Persia, as told in my journals.)
Tomi wrote this behind-the-scenes article about making The Last Express for Newsweek's 1997 special issue. It gives an overview of the game's development, and context for the next, more specialized items I'll post. (Coming up in January: Orient Express floor plans!)
The illustration above was done by 3D modeler Donald Grahame for Newsweek. In the actual game, the characters and full train exterior were line art, not renders. You can read the full article here.
