St. James Town Annual Spring Gathering
Spring Gathering 2019 was held on Friday, March 22nd at Rose Avenue Public School. This is the 6th in a series of annual community consultations carried out to understand the service and program needs of the St. James Town community, as well as plan as a community to promote neighbourhood well being. It was hosted by Health Access St. James Town (HASJT) in partnership with the residents of St. James Town and the St. James Town Service Providers Network (SJTSPN). Insights From St. James Town Annual Spring Gathering
Informed by previous consultations and a social charter, the following initiatives were identified for discussion and collaborative planning during the St. James Town Annual Spring Gathering: a St. James Town Neighbourhood Association, Newcomer Connection Activities, Intergenerational Initiative, Harm Reduction Plan for St. James Town, and Income Generation Initiatives. Click here to know more about what residents had to say about these and how they feel the neighbourhood should move forward in addressing these issues.
South Asian New Year Celebrations
The residents of St. James Town came together to celebrate the South Asian New Year on the 26th of April 2019. More than 80 participants including residents, staff, volunteers from SJT community attended the event. Click Here to view photos
Reaching Out Through Music
Reaching Out Through Music is a initiative working in and around St. James Town with the aim of providing affordable training in music to St. James town kids. In Conversation with 280 Wellesley Resident's Association
280 Wellesley Resident’s Association is the first of it’s kind in St. James Town. A collaborative effort by residents of one of the 19 high rises in St. James Town to ensure a safe and healthy living space for themselves. Interactive Science Classes for Kids

Interactive Science Class for Kids is an after school program for kids conducted at The Corner by St. James Town resident Nayan Dutta Biswas. The aim for the program is to develop cognitive, analytical, problem solving skills and inculcate scientific temper in kids. Covering different subjects like life sciences, physics, chemistry and social sciences, Nayan aims to build strong subject foundation for the participating kids by the time they reach middle school. Know more about the program.
