Science is organized knowledge. Wisdom is organized life.
~ Immanuel Kant
Welcome to the 41st edition of the MayWeather Newsletter series, a weekly newsletter where I share my thoughts and new ideas on things that I learn on personal productivity; somewhere between due diligence, good thinking and note-taking.
<<First Name>>,
The liberty to let people in on your views and perspectives on specific issues is a call to responsibility.
It only takes a spark to set off a forest fire; a wrongly placed word of advice or instruction can wreck another’s life.
When someone seeks your counsel on a subject matter, a syllable out of your mouth may seem casual or insignificant, but it can set a person in motion to either accomplish a goal or it tears them down.
As such, it is of utmost importance that you do not be in any rush to share: you’d be held to the strictest standards.
Weekly Thread of Wisdom
- Highlight of February 2021
I was confronted with one of my worst nightmares: to be found wanting! Having to experience a deep-seated feeling of remorse for previous actions wasn’t so nice.
I had a couple of weeks reflecting on how integrity shapes the opportunities that life presents. As a matter of fact, life itself could lose its meaning without integrity. Who would you commit your resources to? One with a loathsome character and questionable integrity? Nobody does that!
As a matter of fact, I am quite certain about leading a productive, purposeful and influential life. However, I figured issues that if I don’t address, will bring disrepute, shame and probably scars. Not that I am a terrible person: only that integrity and test of character is of utmost importance to kings.
