Earth Day
Sooke's Earth Day is April 25! The next organizing meeting for Earth Day is on Feb 24 at 7 pm at Harbourside Co-Housing. Contact Ann Clement. If you, as an individual, or as part of a group, have a presentation idea or plan for Earth Day Community Hall events, please contact Ann Clement.

Would you be interested in accompanying Ann (as Zero Waste reps) to approach the managers of Western Foods and Village Food Markets to follow up on the plastic bag ban and offer community support. We may offer to partner with them in creating an Earth Week display in their stores. Contact Ann Clement.

Can you or your business donate something for the Earth Day baskets? The Earth Day group is creating four baskets that will be filled with donations. The baskets will be themed: Spa Basket, Zero Waste Basket, Reading Basket, Cozy Night by the Fire, and more, depending what the baskets are filled with. The tickets will be $1 a piece. The basket raffle is to help fund Earth Day and have a fun event. Contact Yvonne and let her know your donation!
