Intro Paddler Update

Dear Parents/Guardians

After a week and a half we hope the new paddlers already feel like part of the Canoe Club family. Coaches have been teaching the basic skills for racing canoes and kayaks, K1 & C1, K2 & C2, K4 & C4, and the 15 person Canadian War Canoe.

After a wonderful first week we hope your paddler is having as much fun as we are. If they are enjoying the Intro to Sprint program, they are welcome to join the Sprint Team for the fall and perhaps stay with us all year long. 

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We aim to respond to emails within 24 hours. Parents should alert the coaches if they're not attending a particular day or session. Email to:

Fall paddling is a great opportunity to continue developing paddling skills as well as grow with our team! Click here to find more information as well as scheduling and pricing on our fall programs.

Air Quality Alert

Due to the increase in smoke we are monitoring the air quality health index.

  • Activities are being adapted to avoid strenuous activity.
  • Participation is optional for all program members, please notify your coach if you will not be attending.
  • As per poor weather conditions we will provide notice asap if we intend to close the Club. If you are at risk for more severe symptoms please let us know and stay home if you have any concerns

  • Event Title: Prairie Division End of Season Regatta
  • Date: September 11-12
  • Age groups: U12, U14, U16, U18 and Senior
  • Goal: Biggest team


  • Event Title: Alberta Team Trials (ABT2)
  • Date: October 5th, Calgary
  • Age groups: All ages/ all encouraged
  • Format: Regatta Heats & Finals
  • Goal: Test our abilities - Do your best - Have fun
Athletes are not to attend if:
  • In the past 14 days, they had exposure to a person with a probable or confirmed case of Covid-19.  
  • If displaying symptoms or possible symptoms.
