Fed Flyer
Hello Neighbors,

I'm sending you a call from the City for your input online THIS THURSDAY, July 14th 6:30-8 PM on the draft Housing Element, a state mandated 8-year plan on accommodating expected housing needs as described in the Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) from the Association of Bay Area Governments.  There will be a second Community Meeting August 16th. Scroll down for details.

I have participated in this planning process as a Fed representative. The work producing the updated Housing Element falls primarily to the city's housing staff and the citizen Work Group provides feedback.  The City is very keen about getting your input, especially on the recommended "Housing Opportunity Sites" as they relate to many aspects of our town, including providing much needed affordable housing. The Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) Map is another state requirement which you will find most interesting.

I look forward to hearing your voices this Thursday.

Also --- SAVE THE DATE - AUGUST 11, 7 PM - the next Fed meeting we welcome a San Rafael Police Officer to address crime in our city.

All the best,
Amy Likover
Fed President

The City of San Rafael has created a 13-member Working Group to provide feedback on new housing policies and programs for the city. Information on upcoming and past meetings is provided on the Meetings & Events page. The meetings use a webinar format, with Working Group members on screen.  The public participates as "attendees" and provides feedback during a designated Public Comment period.  For a list of Housing Element Working Group members, click here.
