Philanthropy can be an agent of change by supporting the causes of grassroots organizations through the joining of collective forces that drive common good, reduce inequality and strengthen civil society and democracy.
That is the premise of the Seminar – Democracy, Community Philanthropy, Social Justice and Human Rights – 10th Anniversary of the Brazilian Philanthropy Network for Social Justice.
The event will promote panels, thematic roundtables and workshops to discuss these themes and their crucial importance for the assurance of socio-environmental and human rights and democracy in Brazil.
It will rely on the participation of civil society organizations, the Brazilian and international philanthropy ecosystem, and other actors, to debate and show the transformative power of philanthropy for social justice.
