The School of Mary - St. John Paul II
"With the Rosary, the Christian people sits at the school of Mary and is led to contemplate the beauty on the face of Christ and to experience the depths of his love. Through the Rosary the faithful receive abundant grace, as though from the very hands of the Mother of the Redeemer." (Rosarium Virginis Mariae)
"...among the mysteries of light I included the institution of the Eucharist.  Mary can guide us towards this most holy sacrament, because she herself has a profound relationship with it." (Ecclesia de Eucharistia)

with Fr. Zachary, SOLT and the Knights of the Holy Eucharist

Oct. 17-20, 2019
4-Day Eucharistic Adoration Retreat
View the Full Schedule and Description
Father Zachary of the Mother of God, SOLT, will return to Our Lady of Good Counsel Retreat House near Waverly for the third Eucharistic Adoration Retreat.
Hosted by the Knights of the Holy Eucharist, this year’s retreat adds a Marian theme: “Mary, Mother of the Eucharist.”  The retreat will help participants enter into the school of Mary, “Woman of the Eucharist” as St. John Paul II called her in his encyclical on the Eucharist.
“We can have a living encounter with the living Lord Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist,” Father Zachary said. “And Mary can guide us to faith in the most holy sacrament, because ‘She who believed’ (Luke 1:45) has a profound relationship with it, and was in a sense the first tabernacle holding the Body of Christ.”

Conversación con Cristo: fundamentos de la oración
Our first retreat in Spanish

“In my priestly ministry,” Father Stoley said, “the main questions I get are related to prayer: Why doesn’t God answer? And am I doing this right?
“The reason we struggle with these questions is because we don’t have quiet. God is found in the silence, not the chaos. A retreat takes one away from the noise. We follow Jesus into the wilderness to encounter God, who does answer. We just have to listen.”
Father Stoley recommended the book “Conversation with Christ” by Peter Rohrbach, which makes St. Teresa’s teaching on prayer understandable.

"Jesus, Please Heal Me!"
with Fr. Craig Doty

Nov. 1-3, 2019
See and experience God’s healing love
Prayer Teams will be Available
Includes Holy Day Mass for All Saints Day on Friday Nov. 1, 8:00pm; ends Sunday Nov. 3 with Noon lunch
This is the third retreat Fr. Doty has offered based on the work of the John Paul II Healing Center and its founders, Dr. Bob and Bart Schuchts.  Through teaching, prayer, personal reflection, adoration and the Sacraments, Fr. Doty invites men and women of all ages to encounter the healing love of the Father.

Recommended are the books by Dr. Bob SchuchtsBe Healed and Be Transformed, and also his most recent book, Real Suffering: Finding Hope and Healing in the Trials of Life.  Topics to be addressed on the retreat include: Identity, Deliverance, the Sacraments and Inner Healing, and Redemptive Suffering.

Referring to the importance of recognizing our identity, Fr. Doty says, "The more we realize who we are, the better off we are.  God created us simply out of love for us, there is nothing we did to earn this life.  From the moment that God thought of us, it was a total gift."

After a powerful Healing the Whole Person Conference given by the Schuchts in Lincoln last July, Fr. Doty hopes the graces of that experience will help many more people "discover God’s heart for you, receive the healing He wants to give, and come to a fuller understanding of His purpose for your life."

Fr. Craig Doty has been a priest for twenty-two years, is pastor of St. Peter Church in Lincoln, and is the director of the Lincoln Equipping Team, a prayer and healing ministry, whose members will be available to pray with retreatants during the weekend.
