Volunteering opportunities at Family Hubs

Family Hubs offer a range of support from pregnancy and beyond - combining health, parenting and lots of other services to families with children age 0 to 19 (up to age 25 for children with special educational needs and disabilities).

Volunteering at a Family Hub could include welcoming new families into our groups, supporting administrative staff, setting up rooms for play and group activities and helping ensure all families experience a warm welcome to our centres.

As one of our valued volunteers you will receive training and ongoing support. Many of our volunteers progress to further and higher education courses and become successful teaching assistants, midwives, teachers and early years workers. Please share this with your families.

Child Safety Week

This year, Child Safety Week runs from 7 to 13 June with the theme, Share because you care.

Child Safety Week is an annual community education campaign run by the Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT), acting as a catalyst for thousands of safety conversations and activities UK-wide.

They help families build confidence and skills in managing the real risks to children's safety and they want all children to have the freedom to grow and learn, safe from serious harm.
