Urgent - scam phone calls
We have received a request from the police Safe Schools and Community Team (SSCT) to warn school and early years staff about scam phone calls relating to private tuition.

The caller is saying that they are arranging 1:1 maths tuition that the school has arranged and is asking for information about children. No information has been shared, but schools and settings are asked to remain
vigilant and be alert to this type of scam.

Actions:
  • Please ensure staff remain vigilant at all times, especially when working remotely.
  • Kindly remind staff to ensure the correct safeguarding and data protection procedures are followed when responding to phone calls and / or emails.
  • If concerned, or in receipt of a similar call, please report it to Dorset police by phoning 101 or via the email link below.
