CELEBRATING OUR RENOVATED CHURCH
Saturday, June 18 - Evening Prayer, 7 p.m. - The First Worship
SUNDAY, JUNE 19
DEDICATION MASS WITH BISHOP CALLAHAN
9:30 A.M
DEDICATION CHOIR: A choir is forming to assist in celebrating the Dedication Mass with Bishop Callahan on Sunday, June 19.  Rehearsal is at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays in McKillip Hall.  All who enjoy singing are welcome to join.  If you have questions, contact Kristine Lato.
RE-IMAGINING: In renovating any older building it’s what’s known as the “A” word.  While we thought we’d dodged the bullet on this problem, there was an inkling of concern prompting further analysis and the results were positive for ASBESTOS.  This carcinogenic material was a common component in building materials prior to the 1980s.  Floor adhesive was tested early in the project and no asbestos was detected.  However, as workers prepared to remove the adhesive, a deeper layer was discovered — probably tile adhesive from the original 1951 church — and it tested positive.
While most interior work is on hold this week for asbestos removal, our Ellis Construction project manager says we’re still on track for the Dedication Mass on June 19.
One recent outdoor improvement was cleaning the concrete cross on the east-facing front, which is shown above on the right.  You can compare it with the "before" image on the left. The top-left photo shows scaffolding in the Baptistry for painting and light replacement, as well as a portable air-conditioner brought in for better drying conditions for painting and floor installation. The top-left photo shows the church entirely covered in plastic as the ceiling was painted.
See more photos and information at the web site.
SAVE THE DATE: Tee Up ‘FORE’ the 2022 St. Anne Golf Scramble on Monday, June 27 at Greenwood Hills Country Club.  Here are links to registration and sponsor/donor information.  Plan now to join us for a great day. of camaraderie and golf!
NOMINATIONS ARE BEING SOUGHT for parishioners to serve on the Pastoral Council.  If you are interested and willing, you may nominate yourself, or offer the name of someone else you think would serve the parish well.  Email nominations to Evie Nielsen. Tom or Deacon Erv.  If you would be willing to assist in this role and have not been a eucharistic minister before, please contact Fr. Tom
Please be attentive - and responsive - to recent communication from Fr. Tom regarding the INSPIRED BY THE SPIRIT campaign. If you have not yet received information about INSPIRED BY THE SPIRIT, it will be coming soon.
