Feminist Friday
The Sloss House's next Feminist Friday will feature Daphne Brewer discussing feminism, mobility, and the environment. Join us on Friday, April 8th at 1 pm on Zoom!
Calling all students, staff, and faculty! The Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and The Center are collaborating to host an end-of-the-year Pride Picnic event, and you're invited! This event is for students, staff, and faculty who identify as members of the LGBTQIA+ community to build intentional relationships and community, while also celebrating the end of the semester. Join us for food, activities, and laughs from 4-6pm in the Memorial Union’s South Ballroom on Wednesday, April 13th.
The next Art + Creativity for Healing event will be held Wednesday, April 27th at 5 pm at the Sloss House. Sloss' art expert Nancy Gebhart will lead the space in creating nature portraits as a form of personal growth and healing. For the health and safety of attendees, the event is limited to 10 participants. Register here!
Art + Creativity for Healing seeks to build an environment that connects creative exercises with community building in support of healing. Make, share, talk, listen, release, build, together. Supplies and art guidance will be provided. This collective creative space is open to everyone.
QTPoC Monthly Dinner
Every last Friday of the month, QTPoC hosts a dinner for the queer and trans people of color in Iowa State's community. These monthly meals center the intersection of LGBTQIA+ and racial identities and bring QTPoC together to build community. The next dinner will be hosted on April 29th!
Pride Goes Greek is an Iowa State sorority and Fraternity affiliated organization for LGBTQIA+ students and allies in Greek Life. If you're not a member but are curious about what sororities or fraternities have to offer, Pride Goes Greek can help, too! Past events have included Jackbox game nights and picnics; this semester, PGG is hosting movie nights, volunteer projects, and more!
Pride Alliance is a safe and brave space for queer individuals on campus. Pride Alliance strives to mix education and activism with socializing, pride and support. To sign up for an email list and be alerted on events and meetings, email mamason@iastate.edu.
