ARTiculations
ARTiculations is an interview series focusing on the contributions of women and non-binary artists in Ames, Iowa featuring Jamie Malone, Sara Merritt, Kristin Roach, and Helen Barton. The interviews are scheduled to air during Women's History Month, March 2022, on KHOI Radio, 89.1 FM.
This interview series is part of the #WomenKnowStuffToo program series. Launched in 2020, #WomenKnowStuffToo has aimed to celebrate the expertise, special skill sets, and unique perspectives of women and non-binary artists through talks, workshops, and discussions.
Women* Climb Night
The Adventure Program is hosting their very first Women* Climbing Event on Wednesday, March 9th from 6 pm to 10 pm at State Gym.
The event is for anyone who seeks a gender-inclusive community, as well as those who have never stepped foot in a climbing facility, those who love climbing, and everyone else in between! The Adventure Program have routes designed for all skill levels. A number of Program area staff will be available to offer up belays and any introduction or information regarding how to approach a climbing route to any new climbers.
WMC Poetry Night
Join the Writing and Media Center for a free night of poetry on Thursday, March 10th in the M-Shop of the Memorial Union from 7 pm to 9 pm. All students are welcome to share their poetry or support student writers. Hot chocolate and desserts will be provided. Feminist Friday
Join the Sloss Center for Feminist Friday Online on Friday, March 11 at 1 pm as Zakariyah Hill, executive director and co-founder of The Supply Hive, takes us through her journey of creating a non-profit that is community centered and with important discussion on how you can also make mutual aid a part of your life. Zoom link will be available on our website on Friday morning, March 11.
QTPoC Monthly Dinner
Join QTPoC (Queer and Trans People of Color) for their February Dinner!
Come to the Sloss House on Friday, March 25th at 5pm for some excellent food and good vibes.
If we have leftovers, we promise to send you off with some for the week!

Textiles and Clothing Open House
Join the ISU Clothing and Textiles Museum for their first open house pizza party, a tradition they will keep every semester! Everyone across campus is welcome, from 4 - 5:30 pm on Friday, March 25th. The open house will be in the lower level of Morrill Hall.
You will be invited into Morrill Hall 0017, which houses the Donna Danielson Conservation Lab, the Waldee Storage Facility, the TCM office, and the Donna Gallery, where an undergraduate student exhibition will be on display.
At the opening, you can learn about and see how to search digital database for objects in the collection, how the collection is organized and maintained, and a collection of 8,500 objects that range from the 18th century to the present. Opportunities such as internships, student work positions, honors projects, historic fashion reserves program, learning how to pitch an exhibition, learning how to request a tour for the future, and learning how to request objects to use in class are also available.
WGS Student Conference
Save the date for the 2022 Women's and Gender Studies Student Conference! It will take place on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 in-person at the Student Innovation Center.
Art and Creativity for Healing
Art & Creativity for Healing seeks to build an environment that connects creative exercises with community building in support of healing.
Make, share, talk, listen, release, build, together. Supplies and art guidance will be provided. This collective creative space is open to everyone. Join us this month on Wednesday, April 27th at 5 pm in the Sloss House for nature portraits.
Pride Goes Greek
Pride Goes Greek is an Iowa State sorority and Fraternity affiliated organization for LGBTQIA+ students and allies in Greek Life. If you're not a member but are curious about what sororities or fraternities have to offer, Pride Goes Greek can help, too! Past events have included Jackbox game nights and picnics; this semester, PGG is hosting movie nights, volunteer projects, and more!
Pride Alliance is a safe and brave space for queer individuals on campus. Pride Alliance strives to mix education and activism with socializing, pride and support. To sign up for an email list and be alerted on events and meetings, email mamason@iastate.edu.
