Celebrating Our Prairie People!
June 2022

Creech Prairie and the Big Bluestem are looking beautiful!
We continue recognizing Pollinator Week and prairies in June with another feature about Our Prairie People. Thanks to the marvelous NPAT members who inspire us to keep Texas prairie.

And in appreciation for Our Prairie People, this month new, renewing, and current members can also be eligible to win a pair of new Vortex Viper binoculars. Our gratitude to the twenty-one new members who have already joined! See the special offer below.
Our Prairie People
Robert and Melinda Creech
Creech Prairie Restoration / The Bee and Clover
NPAT Members since 2018

Melinda grew up in Houston. There were woods at the end of her street she would explore. She has a vivid memory as a young girl of laying in her yard among the flowers, looking up and wondering, "What are your names?"
Robert also grew up in Houston, with woods on his street that he knew well. He was a Boy Scout. He went hunting with his father. He cherishes frequent visits to his grandparent's farm near Floresville, Texas, walking the grounds and contemplating what he observed. Read more . . .
Top to bottom: 1) Melinda and Robert walk their land, reflecting on the work done and yet to be done. 2) Robert (far left) and Melinda (left, in tree) hosting a group from Truett Seminary for a class called "Creation Care as Spiritual Practice." 3) A pair of Great Horned Owls cleaning up in the birdbath next to their home.
