Greetings from Weymouth Center!
Just in time, the weeping cherry tree blossoms dressed up the grounds for the St. Patty's Day Warm Up! The weather was perfect and many took advantage to enjoy a picnic with family or friends. Thanks to all who organized and worked this event!

Weymouth will be downtown in Southern Pines on Saturday!

Come out this Saturday to the Marketplace on Sunrise Square! Marybeth Poplyk, the Sunrise Executive Director, kindly invited us to join about 20 local vendors and set up a stall at the March 20th market and we will have a great selection of all things Weymouth for purchase including some of our special Dirt Gardener-propagated plants. Women of Weymouth will work the Weymouth tent from noon-4pm. We are delighted to partner with The Sunrise Theater, another great non-profit, for this event. Come support home-grown artisans, businesses, and non-profits and be certain to visit our many unique downtown shops and restaurants. What a great way to kick off spring! Masks required. Click here for details.

As the weather warms and the State mandate allows, we will be hosting more of our regular events. Keep a look out on the calendar for the James Boyd Book Club (all welcome) meeting on the patio in April, Women of Weymouth meetings with lectures and lunch, Musicians Jam Session, and other upcoming events.

As always, thank you all for supporting this landmark institution.

Dirt Gardeners seek useful garden items.

Spring cleaning? Consider donating those garden decorations, extra tools, unused pots, extra watering cans, bird feeders, bird baths, house plants and miscellaneous landscaping items that you no longer use to the Weymouth Center Dirt Gardeners to be used in future fundraisers to benefit the Weymouth gardens and grounds.

Also, the Dirt Gardeners collect house plants, perennials, shrubs, small trees, as well as ground-coverings. Pots may be provided and some limited help in digging is available if needed. Please make arrangements in advance for any donation drop-offs by contacting Kathy Luckhaus at (910-986-3009) or via email at

Thank you!

Kelly Mustian, who has been a resident Weymouth writer, will be talking about her debut novel in a free online event.
April 5, 7 to 8PM. This is a free zoom event, but registration is required for entrance. Click here for more information and to reserve your spot!
