HAPPY NEW YEAR!

CKYC hopes you're having fun with Just-for-Me January!  What's Just-for-Me January?  It's time to do something for YOU!  Does that mean finishing up piles of old WIPs to clear the decks for the new year?  Does it mean indulging in some luxury yarn for a little knitted treat for yourself?  Or does it mean learning a new technique--stranded colorwork? cables? lace?--or even a brand-new skill, like crochet?

Whatever Just-for-Me January means to you, Close-Knit has the yarn and knowledge to make it happen!

FEATURED FINISHED OBJECT!

This month's Featured Finished Object comes from Celeste.  She improvised this beautiful turtleneck out of Universal Yarn Deluxe DK Superwash in colorway "Teal Rustic."  CKYC doesn't currently stock Deluxe DK Superwash, but Celeste took advantage of our ability to order any yarn from an existing supplier, and now she has a custom sweater in her perfect color.  Ask us about special orders today!
SWATCH SUCCESS!

Check out these swatches from our first Colorwork Demystified students.  They not only knit stranded colorwork bravely and with abandon, they cut their swatches!  I'm so proud.  We're offering this popular class again on February 10 (see the schedule below for more details).

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

The wildly successful Easy Lace Poncho class will be offered once again on February 2nd, from 10-noon.  This beautiful pattern takes two skeins of Classic Shades Sequins Lite, and new colors will be in the shop any day.  Let us know by January 24 if you'd like a particular colorway.  Available colors can be found here, or stop by to look at our selection in person.

Other returning classes are Learn to Knit Socks, Colorwork Demystified, and Next Steps for Knitters.  Call or email to reserve a class spot today!
CLASSES!

Here's what's coming in February and March.  Our class schedule changes often in response to real life, and we add new classes all the time.  Make sure you're up-to-date by checking our website: https://closeknityarncoop.com/ or Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/CloseKnitYarn/ .  To sign up for a class, call the store during business hours, send an email, reach out via Facebook message, or come on by.  And remember that CKYC subscribers get a 20% discount on all class fees!

SPRITE VEST KAL

Remember Jennifer's super-cute Sprite Vest?  We can't get it out of our heads . . . so we're knitting it in February!

Download the free pattern here (or ask us for a complimentary copy), then come in and choose 3-5 skeins of Classic Shades Frenzy--that's right, even the largest size only requires five skeins!  If we don't have the color you'd like, we're happy to order it for you.  (View available colors here.  We ask that color requests be made by 7:30 PM on Thursday, January 24, so that they can be filled in a timely fashion.)

The knit-along officially begins at 4:30 PM on January 31st (but of course swatching doesn't count)--come to knit night to get launched!

PAJAMA PARTY

If you missed our rescheduled New Year's Pajama Party, you missed out on a great time.   We had fun knitting and snacking all day; just look at our smiling faces.  In fact, we had so much fun we're thinking of making it a semi-regular occurrence.  Further information in future installments!

Thanks for reading, and happy crafting!
