We are beginning to read a new book, "
The Religion of the Apostles" by Fr Stephen De Young.
This is one of the best sellers among Orthodox books at the moment. The book "presents the Orthodox Christian Church of today as a continuation of the religious life of the apostles, which in turn was a continuation of the life of the people of God since the beginning of creation."
We meet via Google Meet; therefore, reply to this email to get the meeting link.

Thanks be to You, my joy, my pride, my confidence, my God - thanks be to You for Your gifts, but preserve them to me. For thus will You preserve me, and those things which You have given me will be developed and perfected, and I myself will be with You, for from You is my being.

Empowering Marriages and Families in the Faith

The Center for Family Care, a Ministry of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, nurtures and empowers families, helping them navigate the joys and challenges of life. Its ministry focuses on equipping families to apply the teachings and practices of the Orthodox faith to every dimension of their lives. This podcast features interviews, reflections, book reviews, and narratives that will encourage dialogue and strengthen families.

In the episode shared with you today,
Presvytera Melanie speaks with Matt and Louise Heusel on medical practitioners' adverse reactions to prenatal discoveries of disabilities and the pressure put on parents to abort their children, how their daughter with Down Syndrome has enriched their family life, and the special gifts she contributes to their parish family.

We have had a lot of donations made for the garage sale, and it is time to get to work.
Little Falls is having a town-wide yard sale on September 18, and we plan to have our Sunday School Rummage Sale on that day as well.
We ask everyone to help with the event. The plan is to set up September 11. We will also need volunteers for the day of the sale and for the clean up. A signup sheet will be created soon, and we ask you to contribute whatever time you can.
Please note, at this moment we are not accepting any more garage sale donations.
