Early-Bird Membership Drive

This pandemic forced our Legion to close and really put a dent in our membership efforts this year.  Membership is the backbone of any Legion, ours included.  We are glad to announce that we have started the 2021 membership drive again and encourage all of our past and present members to renew their membership for 2021.  Due to the pandemic, we are extending our Early Bird efforts until the end of December, 2020.

If you are not currently a member and want to become a one, we highly encourage you to do so.  The Sarnia Legion membership is open to any person who supports the many services we offer to Veterans, serving military personnel and their families.

What is the Early-Bird?

The cost of a Sarnia Legion membership is $52.  If you partake in our "Early-Bird" initiative the cost is only $50 and your name is entered into a draw for a free membership.  The draws take place at the end of September, October and November.

Tom Slater & Tom St. Amand are no strangers to highlighting and promoting the great history of the City of Sarnia, especially that of our military history.  They have out done themselves again with their latest work, taking their talents overseas.  Please read the following links below to learn about the fallen Sarnian soldier Ted Parsons and a monument dedicated to him and other soldiers at Muiden Cemetery in Holland.

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62 and the Sarnia Historical Society each donated $500 for the maintenance and preservation of the monument. The Monument Committee was surprised and extremely grateful.
