Message from President Lynn Mathieson

Due to the latest COVID-19 lockdown, The Sarnia Legion was forced to close its doors once again.  The Executive continues to monitor the situation and are confident we will be able to open seamlessly as soon as regulations permit.  We continue to meet to ensure the operational logistics are being met. The building is continually monitored and daily checks are being performed.

If you are a Veteran or know of a Veteran or their family member who is need of assistance, the Sarnia Legion Branch is here and able to serve.  Simply call the Sarnia Legion Branch at 519-336-2841.  This number is forwarded to an Executive Member, who will be able to assist.

Though the pandemic has closed our doors, we are still active with out charitable donations to the community.  To-date, we have donated to the following organizations:

  • Inn of the Good Shepard ($3500)
  • St, Vincent de Paul ($3500)
  • Salvation Army Salvation ($3500)
  • The Hub ($500)
  • Sexual Assault Survivor ($1500)
  • Woman’s Interval Home ($500)
  • Pathways Health Centre ($2500)
  • Sarnia Historical Society for War Remembrance Project ($2000)
  • St. Joseph's Hospice Sarnia-Lambton ($2500)
  • Tennis for Kids ($500)

I sincerely hope this letter finds everyone well and please stay safe.

Yours in Comradeship,

Lynn Mathieson
Branch 62
