International Women’s Day 2021

We've worked on a number of projects over the years where the focus has been on empowering and championing women and girls. By telling their stories and celebrating their achievements, we hope that we can help remove stigmas and break down barriers to education and sport. Here is a selection of some we are most proud of:

Sustainability / Innovation
Paving a sustainable path to the future

A Kenyan woman’s startup is recycling plastic into paving bricks that are stronger than concrete. So far, Nzambi Matte's company has managed to recycle more than 20 tonnes of plastic waste into paving bricks and has generated over 100 new job opportunities in the area. Matte – entrepreneur, inventor, engineer and now an employer too – is an inspiration to all.
