A Busy Few Months ahead.

Good evening to our subscribers in the UK, Howzit to the South Africans, G'day to those down under and kon'nichiwa to our regular Japanese reader. Hopefully you are fresher than the WCC stalwarts who gallivanted through Edinburgh yesterday.

In this newsletter we have an update on the 4th XI, nets and fixtures confirmation for 2019 and also the return of the My All-time XI.

Get Well Soon Alan.

Alan Borthwick has had to relinquish captaincy duties. Alan, who prior to this year, had gone over ten years without a sick day asked to take a step back from playing during early season. He did confirm however he intends to play at some stage during the season, and has even offered to captain again if required!

Ewan Robertson (not the Robbo) has kindly agreed to step in to captain the side. We wish Alan all the best and look forward to seeing his batting, leg-spin and wicket keeping duties resumed as soon as possible.

2019 Training.

Senior Men's training kicked off in tremendous fashion two Fridays back and has seen over fifty attendees between both sessions. These sessions will continue every Friday 7-8.30pm until the end of March at The Galleon. Due to the popularity, attendance must now be confirmed via the Teamer app. Full details on how to book will be sent to all players by Brendan O'Connell on Monday 28th January.

Fixtures Confirmed.

My All Time XI

We are obliged to Pat Edington for providing his All-time XI. Continue to email with yours (no criteria other than they must have donned a maroon cap at some stage for any team).
