LiveWire & Culture Warrington Jubilee Events

Warrington Central Library is inviting families to join in the Jubilee fun from 10.30 am with lots of activities to celebrate the Queen’s platinum milestone. Try all the activities and get 6 stamps on your ration card to claim your free goody bag.
10.30-11 am - Warrington Signing Choir
12 - 1:30 pm - Imagining Histories presents interactive role-play and storytelling.
12 – 2pm - Firefighter Storytime - Firefighters from Warrington Fire Station will read stories and show visitors around their fire engine.
Throughout the day artist, Stef Woof will be creating a piece of artwork with the help of everyone who attends which will then become a permanent mural commemorating the Platinum Jubilee. Make and Do • Union Jack bunting • 3D printing demo • Papercraft and calligraphy from Mulan Culture • Jewellery making • Get creative at our Museum Crafternoon.
You can take a break with tea and cake while you watch the Jubilee slide show and take a trip down memory lane with items from the museum collection and items specially made by some of Warrington craft groups. The Jubilee celebrations mark the launch of Warrington LitFest – a full week of events organised by LiveWire to encourage reading for pleasure.
The events run from Saturday 4th to Saturday 11th June and include storytelling, performances, creative writing, author visits and more. For More info click here.
Carter's Crafty Cardboard Jubilee Crafts

Join us at Warrington Market, for a morning of the Queen's Jubilee crafts!
The session will include various Jubilee themed crafts and will last approx 60/90 minutes, for just £5.50 per child, with discounts available for multiple bookings. We ask that the children are supervised by a parent/guardian at all times.

Warrington Town Hall Jubilee Events

Join the Mayor for breakfast at the town hall to celebrate the Queen's 70-year reign.
Janice Heyes, local heritage curator and author will be talking about 1940’s Warrington, royal visits and other points of interest from the past 70 years.
