WELCA Thankoffering

Each year the Women of the ELCA (WELCA) provide an opportunity for you to give thanks through the Thankoffering. It's the time of year to celebrate and give thanks for the work of WELCA! To donate to help sustain the work of WELCA you can give online or contact the church office to drop off a donation by Sunday, Dec. 6. Contact: Linda McCoy

Free Suicide Prevention Training

Sign-up for a free, 2-hour training session on Suicide Prevention (QPR). Sessions are hosted by Upstream Prevention, Inc. and the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Johnson County. People trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Multiple sessions available (in-person and on Zoom). Illustrated Advent devotion books are available for households that will not receive one in an Advent at Home kit. The devotions include Scripture readings, reflections, and coloring activities to guide your prayer time during Advent. If you would like to receive a devotion book, contact Victoria Hoppes to arrange for pickup or delivery. Share with us how you are celebrating Advent at Home! Take photos of your Advent wreath and send them to Victoria or share on social media with the hashtag #RLCAdvent.
