Sign-up to Pack Meals with Weekender Team

Each week the Weekender Backpack Ministry Team provides 300 bags of food for kids in three elementary schools, helping bridge the gap over the weekend. Thank you to the volunteer groups who have packed throughout the fall semester! The next congregation-wide packing event is Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. Our goal is to pack 1,800 bags to get kids through Christmas break! Watch for the sign-up, pray for the team and kids receiving food, and please continue purchasing items from the team wishlist. Contact: Jennifer Prickel

November Learning from Home Kit

There's still time to receive a box of Learning at Home materials this fall! Kits are designed to be intergenerational with activities to explore at your own pace. 2021 Youth Group Service Trip Plans

RLC is planning a youth group service trip with a twist for summer 2021. "Walk, Love, Serve" invites youth and mentors to engage in anti-racism learning, service, and faith formation in both Atlanta, GA and Indianapolis. High school students & families: Gather on Zoom Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. for an info session to learn and ask questions about the trip and preliminary plans. Sign-up for October Breakfast Club

Students in grades 6-12 are invited to sign-up for our October Breakfast Club! Weather permitting, we will meet outdoors at RLC this Sunday, Oct. 18 at 9 a.m. We provide the breakfast and conversation, but please bring your own lawn chair and mask. Masks are required when not eating. Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly. Contact: Victoria Hoppes
Sign-up for free, 2-hour training session on Suicide Prevention (QPR). Training sessions are hosted by Upstream Prevention, Inc. and the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Johnson County. People trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Multiple sessions (in person and Zoom) are available. Trunk or Treat with a Twist

Sunday, Oct. 25 at 4 p.m. Come for RLC’s annual Trunk or Treat, with a twist! You provide the trunks and Kids Club will provide the treats. Kids: Wear your masks and costumes, score Halloween candy, choose the best trunk, and more. Adults: Arrive between 3:30 – 3:45 p.m. to decorate your trunk, and we’ll provide treats after the kids parade on a one-way loop through the parking lot. Masks and social distancing required. RLC is partnering with Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity to install landscaping for the Cobbs family’s new home on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 7:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. No experience necessary, some heavy lifting involved, and volunteers must be 16+ years old.
