Dear Friends,

I want to be sure you know that the Spirit is alive and working through our beloved church. If you have not yet visited the Pray Their Names display in FCC’s front yard, I encourage you to take the time to walk through the rows of named hearts whose hearts have been stilled by racism. The walk will hurt your heart and perhaps embolden it to work for equality.

We are tired, so tired of isolation, so tired of racism, so tired of idling in place while COVID-19 rushes through our world stealing life and livelihood. Oh how we need one another to hug, to laugh, to cry together. Through all of this our devoted church staff offers multiple opportunities every week to “see” one another, to partake of sermon and sacred pause, to engage in meaningful conversation. I know we are tired of Zooming and being on-line. However, in lieu of physical gathering I am grateful that these tools exist. Please show-up as you are able. It will make a difference to you and to your FCC friends.

This week's Wisdom Circle will be led by Virginia Bertelsen and Kathy Jewel. Each session includes a form of body prayer and a chance to engage in personal reflection, closing with group prayer and shared intention.
