Dear Community Members,
The Jewish Federation of Winnipeg is excited to announce the launch of a Strategic Planning process to establish our priorities for today and the next six years. We need your input to ensure we are aware, informed and responsive. A survey will be going out to the community in the New Year so you can tell us what you think your Federation should be doing to best support our community today, and how we can refresh and prioritize.
The strategic planning committee was formed in October 2022 with the intent of completing a strategic plan by the fall of 2023. The committee is comprised of Ari Hanson, Murray Palay, Paula Parks, and Justice Freda Steel, staffed by Elaine Goldstine, and Co-Chaired by Carol Duboff and Gustavo Zentner. To professionally guide us through the process, we have secured the services of Linda Kislowicz, former CEO of the Jewish Federations of Canada.
Why do this now?
-
In an ever-changing world we need to be able to change with it
-
We want to establish key priorities for the next six years, to be able to best serve our community
-
To review the way in which we build financial sustainability that will ensure the strength and inclusivity of our community
The project consists of four phases:
-
Phase 2: Gather data through interviews, focus groups and a community survey, followed by analysis of the results
-
Phase 3: Development of priorities based on data analysis
-
Phase 4: Report to the community with the top priorities and roll out plans
The survey will be launched in the New Year. Heed the call, your voice is important! Your Federation values your input as it is vital to inform our strategic direction. We will keep you informed with regular updates.
Thank you in advance for your participation!
