South Los Altos Neighborhood Association
(SLANA) Board Meeting April 7
Our next board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 7 at 6pm, via Zoom. Board meetings are open to all residents and property/business owners. Go to https://slananm.org or directly to https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZIqdeGrqDkrHdEZ6rbMZ6zoAlnt0dtGhirv to register.
Neighborhood Cleanup Opportunity
SLANA is considering doing one of these Saturdays if we can get enough interest and volunteers. Needed is a Coordinator, including coordination of getting the bags to the drop off site, someone to pick up the supplies the Thursday before, and participants to pick up trash. If you are interested, please send an email to contact@slananm.org and let us know which Saturday you are interested in, what you would like to do, and where you see the need to pick up trash. Please see the link below for more information.
Sign Up for Neighborhood Cleanup Now in April
Join the City’s Solid Waste Management Department and Keep Albuquerque Beautiful now in April for the annual One Albuquerque Cleanup Month. Gather a group of friends or neighbors and register to clean up your neighborhood, park, or other area that needs it in honor of Earth Month. There are four Saturdays in a row of cleanups scheduled all over the City. Each quadrant is assigned its own Saturday for a cleanup day starting April 9 and running through April 30. Solid Waste will provide each group that registers with garbage bags and gloves for their cleanup. SLANA Membership
Thank you to two long-time members who recently renewed. We appreciate your support! Annual SLANA memberships cost $5 for individuals and $10 for businesses. Any memberships paid now are good through February 2023. To join or renew, go to our website https://slananm.org for payment options, including PayPal.
Please consider joining so that we can continue with our postcard mailing next year. It is not a guarantee that we will be able to get a sponsorship or donations next year and it would mean a lot if we had neighborhood support to continue our efforts to keep everyone informed.
What is your vision for SLANA?
We'd like to hear from you - what would you like from SLANA and what are you willing to volunteer? Send an email to contact@slananm.org or register and join us at the board meeting. After board business, we should have time to hear your concerns.
Call 311 or Crimestoppers
If you see issues that need to be addressed such as graffiti or abandoned vehicles, consider calling 311. You can remain anonymous and do not need to give your email address, name, or phone number when you call unless you want to.
You can report anonymous tips about crimes to Crimestoppers. Call (505) 843-STOP or visit the Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers website.
